Feelings of a Freshman
My first months of independence have come and gone faster than a speeding bullet. I look back over the short time I have lived away from home and cannot help but crack a smile. Not just any smile, mind you, but that bashful smile you get when you see that old yearbook picture of yourself with the goofy smile, you know the one I'm talking about. Don't let me fool you too much because I am filled with a lot of joy on top of those awkward memories. Everyday I have learned something new about myself and the world around me. Sometimes they are just little things, like toilet paper just doesn't reproduce in the bathroom cabinet...jk. I feel like big red curtains are slowly parting, and behind them awaits the real world. The world where I have to get a job, and make a name for myself. To be very honest it has humbled me.
